Bishop O'Dowd - Sundays

The games start at 12 noon.  Games are over by 6 PM.

Bishop O'Dowd flags are with the bases

Set up

  1. Get the flags from the Equipment Shed at Shepherd Canyon field. These are the special turf field flags that have a base. Contact security guard in order to open shed and retrieve corner flags (as you face the sheds lined up along the fence at the southwestern end of the field it is the one at the end of the row to your left, the shed closest to 98th Ave).  If you don't see a guard, their cell phone # is 510-861-3333. As of September 2009, Montclair is no longer using the corner flags at Bishop O'Dowd. Montclair is using its own flags, which are stored at the Equipment Shed at Shepherd Canyon.
  2. Goals will need to be rolled onto the field.  While the goals have wheels, they are bulky and too much for one person to move safely.  Teams playing should be able to assist you with this.  Please be very careful not to drag goals while crossing the expensive track.

Take down.

  1. Roll goals off the field across the track and against the fence. Care must be taken to not drag the goals and damage the (expensive) track. As stated above, the goals have wheels, but are bulky and too much for one person to move safely. This will require 2 people.
  2. Return flags to the Equipment Shed at Shepherd Canyon field.
