Thank you for your interest in the Montclair Soccer Club! We are a community of parents, players, coaches, referees and volunteers who gather once a year for the community and the love of the game.
The Montclair Soccer Club is holds its registration day annually at Montera Middle School on Ascot Drive. Please mark your calendars for Saturday April 18th and Tuesday April 21st. We will hold the in person turn in on these 2 days. Please come by on Saturday the 18th between 10:00 AM -1:30 PM or Tuesday the 21st between 5:30 and 7:30 PM. Dates are subject to change.
Fees for 2009 are as follows:
Class 4 recreational players are $200 plus a $60 volunteer deposit that will be refunded upon completion of 4 hours to the club. (one volunteer fee per family is collected). Parents that only have a player in our Under 6 program will not be expected to pay the $60 deposit.
Class 3 competitive players are $510 plus a $60 volunteer deposit that will be refunded upon completion of 4 hours to the club. (one folunteer fee per family is collected)
A $10 processing fee will apply if you do not register first online through Sportability.
There will be plenty of volunteers available at registration to help answer any questions you may have about registration or the Montclair Soccer Club.
Registration is a two-step process:
1. Players, Coaches, and Assistant Coaches register online through Sportability. THIS IS JUST THE FIRST STEP, WE NEED EVERYONE TO COME TO REGISTRATION TO TURN IN THEIR HARD COPIES OF THE REGISTRATION FOR YOUR COACH AND CYSA. Sportability is a wonderful tool that we use to collect fees, organize teams and communicate to parents and coaches. What it does not do is register your player with CYSA. That is what the registrar does after your paperwork is all turned in. Please view the registration checklist for items that we need to process your child's and your coach registration after completing the online portion. To begin the process, go to www.sportability.com and put Montclair in the search.
In years past when millions of parents have tried to register right before coming to registration it overloads the system. Please try to register well before coming to registration. Heads up... a credit card is needed to register online.

If you wish to play up, you must first register for your own age group and indicate on the registration form that you wish to play up.

CYSA is going to a new system at the State level this year. If you are a returning player, Sportability may not recognize you as such. Please do not worry about this, just register here as new. There will be a field where you can put in last year's team and your playing preferences.
2. Attend just one of the MANDATORY registration events to turn in paperwork. Incomplete paperwork will not be accepted please use the registration checklist.
If you have signed your online forms and have all of your materials, you may have a friend drop them off for you at registration.
If you missed the registration events, you can send all of the required paperwork, but your player will be wait-listed and placed after the in person registrations. Typically our Under 6 groups and our Under 8 groups fill up at the paperwork turn in at Montera. Other groups may have space, but not always on the first choice team.
Please, please, please do everything possible to attend registraiton to turn in materials and not mail them. Many hands make light work and we have many happy hands at registration. After our registration turn ins, it is just one person frantically trying to register gadzillions of kids. We all thank you for pulling together and helping all our age group coordinators, coaches, and registration folks by coming to our in-person turn in event. Besides, you will see freinds there and might even be fun!

If severe financial circumstances will prevent your son or daughter from playing, contact the Montclair Soccer Club Treasurer, Steve Depetris (treasurer@montclairsoccer.org) before you begin the registration process. A very limited amount of financial aid is available.
