Team Referee Requirements
This document contains the latest referee requirements. These were updated and approved by JLYSSL in May, 2007.
Requirements for all teams

A referee can represent no more than two teams.

Each team that applies for a tournament (JLYSSL end-of-season tournament, mid-season tournaments, Association Cup, Founders Cup, etc.) will need approval from club referee coordinator or league referee coordinator that they are satisfying the referee requirement, or a portion of it if going to mid-season tournament.
Referee Requirement for Class IV House teams

Each team must have one adult referee (plus any number of youth referees)

The adult referee will be required to do at least six games (centers, or AR on U15+ games)

Exception for first-year referee: Can do six centers or AR on U14+
Referee Requirement for Class III teams and Class IV District teams

Each team must have at least two referees, at least one must be an adult

The adult referee will be required to do six games (centers, or AR on U15+ games)

Exception for first-year referee: Can do six centers or AR on U14+

The youth referee will be required to do six games (at least three as center)
Referee Requirement for Class I teams

Bay Oaks will continue to manage this; they have tougher requirements
Addendum
A referee's responsibility can be shared by two referees. For example, two adult referees on one team could do three games each, for a total of six (while meeting the other requirements above).
