- If I have 2 kids, do I have to volunteer separately for each team?
- No - the volunteer commitment is per family. Select your volunteer commitment, and report it to each team's Team Volunteer Coordinator. And thank you!
How can I receive my refund?
Once you have completed the 4 hours of volunteer duties per family, please email Pam Hoffman PamOfOak@aol.com. In the email, please describe the volunteer duties that your family performed. Pam will email you instructions on how to receive your deposit back.
What counts towards Club-level volunteer hours?
What does not count towards Club-level volunteer hours?
Organizing snacks, bringing snacks, organizing your team’s photo shoot on Picture Day, individual team fundraising, organizing team trophies, and other tasks directly for your child’s team besides the jobs listed below (coach, assistant coach, team manager, team volunteer coordinator, referee, PCA coordinator).
- If I have 2 kids and coach one of them, do I have to volunteer separately for my other kid's team?
- No - the volunteer commitment is per family. You've done your part. (And thank you!)
- My child is a Youth Ref - does that fulfill my Club responsibility?
- If he or she refs 6 games and logs his or her hours - YES!
- I volunteer for the League (JLYSSL) - does that fulfill my Club responsibility?
- If you are performing a league-level function like Treasurer or League Match Secretary, then yes. However, coaching for a different JLYSSL club (Rockridge, Oakland etc.) does not fulfill your responsibility to MSC.
- I worked Registration night in the spring. Am I done?
- If you worked Sweatshirt Sales, then no. Those shifts were only a few hours. Please attend a Board Meeting or work another event to finish up!
- If you worked Registration, then yes. Registration is always a rush job to get organized and is close to 6 hours counting setup/cleanup, so you receive full volunteer credit for this activity.
