Volunteers - Fields Opportunities

  Field Volunteers

The fields are our treasured resource - no field = no games or practices - and they need care throughout the year.

The Team Field Volunteer has a 2 part role each season: Part 1) acts as a Field Champion and Part 2) do a Field Job.

PART 1 - FIELD CHAMPION

Every Field Volunteer acts as their team’s Field Champion. It is your job to:

  • At every game bring a large garbage bag and make sure your team packs out its own trash.
  • Organize parents to do a “Clean Up Walk” – walk the field to pick up all trash (not just your team’s trash – but all trash on the field), including plastic water bottle caps, juice box straws, and all other trash after every practice and every game to leave the field cleaner than how you found it. Plastic bottle caps have become a safety concern on our fields (imagine hitting a knee on one on a slide or fall).

PART 2 - FIELD JOBS

In addition to being a Field Champion, every Team Field Volunteer signs up for ONE of the jobs below. Each Team Field Volunteer acts as both a Field Champion and does one of the jobs below.
