Help Wanted!
We are always working to help broaden parent participation in our Club.
Here's the list of Volunteer Positions – fast, easy way to browse through positions divided up by the time you have available. Please read each position's page to see if it is "filled" for 2009.
Still Open:
- New! Sell fabulous Club merchandise at Photo Day! Sign up for a shift selling schwag. Help schlep or bring your table/shelter for an extra hour credit. You're gonna be there anyway!
- New! Join the Internet Team. Help us manage our calendar, mailing lists, surveys, wiki, and the colorful slideshows that appear on many pages. (04/26/09)
- New! FUNdraising wants to broaden our horizons and come up with some fun events for our Club and community (maybe dinner at Chevy's? a party at Albany Bowl?). We've split up the workload in this area to make the jobs less intensive.
- New! Lost & Found Committee! (receive emails of items found or items lost; research what games were played at the site, and contact the team managers; try to unite the items with the owners; "host" the found items if needed, and maintain a list of found items here on the wiki; handing donating things do charity if they remain unclaimed.) email PamOfOak@aol.com
- New! Help with a letter, email and phone call and civic meeting-attendance campaign to Oakland City, Oakland Unified School District, and Peralta Community College officials to raise our voices about letting Oakland's children use the field space we all pay for! (Watch for more on this - it'll get you very hot under the collar.)
-
New! Help our Outreach Coordinator, Gregg Morris, make contact at Oakland elementary schools outside of Montclair - especially East or West Oakland - to see if there are candidate kids to join our Club. Find out more from Gregg directly!
