The Publicity Coordinator helps to publicize events for MSC to widen our reach into the community.  To volunteer, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator.

 

Responsibilities

• Be the contact for other coordinators with publicity needs
• Place print ads as needed with local papers 
• Order signage as needed to help with physical publicity
• Place signage as allowable in public places 
• Remove signage and store in equipment shed if applicable 

Time Commitment

6 hours per year

 

Required Experience

Some familiarity with local paper's advertising processes is helpful but not needed. You'll learn!

 

Schedule

March-April - Before Clippers tryouts and general registration mostly.

 

Location

At home, online, on the phone, and on the occasional streetcorner (!)

Registration

Registration usually happens in April. In the past, we have hung a banner in Montclair. Contact our Registrar to get the banner. Posting a noticed in the Montclairion or with local schools is also a good idea.

 

Clippers Tryouts

Clippers is the name for the competitive traveling teams. We usually hold tryouts in March or April. We also have banners for this, contact the Clippers Coordinator to get the banner. We usually print announcements in the Montclarion.
