The Volunteer Appreciation Dinner is held after the end of the season. It's a time when the coaches, refs, and all our important volunteers get together to enjoy a relaxing dinner in the good company of all who love the Beautiful Game.

Responsibilities
- Arrange date and venue
- Select menu
- Get volunteers to do all the other tasks
- Bring everyone together on the night of the dinner for a smashing good time
Time Commitment
About 8 hours if you delegate well.
Required Experience
General organization skills; event management experience is a plus!
Schedule
Planning starts with selecting the date (by mid October) and ends with the dinner, often the 1st or 2nd Monday in December.
Location
Work at home in your pajamas, or on the Jersey Shore with a good wifi connection.

Detailed Instructions
- Get a firm date from the Board by the end of the summer.
- Ask if there are venue preferences or requirements - we are almost outgrowing Del Navio.
- Send out a Save the Date notice to the entire club in September and then a reminder in October (indicating what the event is and that all are invited).
- Sign up volunteers for all positions. See the page on the Volunteer Appreciation Dinner for the breakdown of tasks from past dinners.
- Establish need-by dates for RSVPs and other items.
- Get the list of award recipients from the President.
- Make sure that all award recipients are contacted via phone if they do not respond to an email. They have to come! They might have to totter home bearing the gigantic trophy!
